It's always something around here...
but one of the things we've known was really something...
was this teeny tiny old deck...that needed replacing when we bought this place.
13 years later...
It came down to us not having much of a choice anymore...

Turns out - when there are holes in your deck with moss and/or mushrooms growing out of them...
Turns out, it was worse than we thought...
And the stairs were being held on by just a couple of spindles.
Yikes!
So...we had it removed...
and oh how I loved the wide open spaces!

But...you can't have nothing there, or can you?
It's tempting, to just close it off and do nothing...
but we do use our backyard every.single. day.
So once we get done dealing with this, that was uncovered with the removal of the deck...
We'll see what we end up with!

It's really too bad that this wasn't found, (or was it?) fixed and brought up to code a month or so ago when we had all of this brand new siding put on our house...
