Her Hero

The other morning I woke up before dawn, and realized I hadn't emptied backpacks or readied them for the day...in my tired stupor, I began pulling out piece by piece...

glancing, recycling, glancing, recycling...

We don't save much school work around here -

I often snap photos of special things and then wish it well in it's next life..

But this one that I stumbled upon ~

This one is a keeper!

Found in the First Grader's backpack...

My Hero

'My Nabor Denny'

'He was a fierfader'

Yes, he is a retired Firefighter/ParaMedic.

I had tears in my eyes as I put it away for later...

And later, when I asked her if it would be ok to share this with Denny (and with you guys!), she was very excited to say YES!

I snapped a couple of photos of Hailey and Her Hero Denny.

He may of had something in his eyes when he read it too!

I love her heart, and I love that her heart is always in the right place.

What a great Hero to have.

We are so incredibly blessed by our neighbor/family we have come to know and love.
