~ No joke, I take anywhere from 600-1000 pictures in any given month...
We actually had an 'official' family photo shoot today, so I can't wait to see what kinds of pictures came out of the day! GAH! Could go either way...we got lucky with the weather, that's for sure!
Now that it's October, and it's time to start thinking about Holiday Cards ~
You might think that's an easy task for someone who takes a ton of pictures, but I actually think it makes it harder...
HOW. DO. YOU. CHOOSE?
Even harder for me that choosing a picture...
Is choosing a Holiday Card design...
I find myself drawn to the more 'non-traditional' cards, if you will..................
And I just love that out of the 100+ photo cards we get each year, we NEVER get any two the same!
I mean honestly, what are the chances? With hundreds to pick from, I suppose.............but still - isn't it odd that we don't pick the same as our friends?
One of the new designs I came across this year...
HELLO!
PERFECT for the FELIZ NAUGHTY DOG in our house!
I just might find a way to incorporate this into our holiday card design this year!
How early do you start planning your holiday cards? Do you have your pictures ready to go or do you rush to get them done at crunch time?
I'm a planner, so I like to have my cards ready to go as soon as possible ~ besides, it's never too early to take advantage of the many special offers available out there ~

I USED to wait until we had snow to take pictures but that got to be way too late and too stressful so now we take photos when the leaves are pretty & I try to have the cards designed and ready to print before Thanksgiving. It is much easier to get personal attention when 1,000 other people aren't trying to print photocards at the same time. (we've used Sam's Club for the past few years to print designs I put together in photoshop)
We have photos done for this year, but still need to get cards made - would love to win some so I don't have to take time away from work to design any!
It depends, last year we didn't but the year before that we did...if I win we probably will again this year just because its so fun! thanks!
I didn't last year but did the two years prior. I like doing them, just need to make the time.
We never sent out picture cards before we had Samantha! Last year was our first year. We took our card pictures this past weekend, so once we get those, I will pick out a card, though I have a few favorites. I like to have them in hand at the beginning of December. I was just on Shutterfly earlier looking at cards
We love holiday photo cards! Shutterfly is our usual weapon of choice :)
I love sending holiday cards! Can't wait to send them out this year with our new family member, and of course still showcasing our dog!
I am on a roll of 2 years in a row of getting them out b4 Easter!! can I make it 3 years???!!!??
I always send out personalized holiday cards!

I always do picture photo cards too! I typically am ordering Dec 1st but not this year i want to beat Laurie.. I get her card first EVERY YEAR!
How do you ensure I win? Family pictures are tormenting for us.
IF I get the cards together by Thanksgiving I send cards that year. if not we just make an effort to see everyone during the holiday season.
We usually send out holiday cards - I like to create photo cards with pictures of my kids. We have a lot of family that live out of state, so they rarely see the kids.
Love giving and receiving cards. Especially the picture ones!
yes! Last year they were from shutterfly!
My holiday cards are going to be birth announcements too this year. :) I neeeed to win this. :)
we do, as long as we put them in together in time, which only happens every few years
