It's Thanksgiving...The act of giving thanks. A prayer expressing gratitude. A public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness.
I have so very much to be thankful for.
So very very much.
Starting with the three people that mean the world to me...
Our littles and my baby daddy...
How lucky am I?
Sure, they give me a run for my money...and then some...
Some days are tougher than others...But at the end of the day...
I am oh, so thankful, so very very thankful...
That I have been given the opportunity to be their mother...
And to be his wife...
With his sense of humor...and OH how we've needed that more often than not this year...
I am so so thankful.
I am so so thankful.
Thankful for my family...
Thankful for the people I am both proud to have and am blessed to call my friends...so many great friends...I wish I could list them here...but out of fear of forgetting someone - I simply can't...
Kate summed it up pretty nicely here this morning...
It's true...This amazing network of friends I have made over the last 3 years via these interwebs...They've gotten me through some dark dark moments.
My late night pleas for peace and for comfort...It was these friends with the tweets, the texts, the Facebook messages.
Some people don't know what to say, so they don't say anything at all...and that hurts.
The kindness shown to me by the amazing friends who live in my computer AND in my real life...the kindess shown in 140 characters or less...I am eternally grateful. And thankful.
I'm thankful for our home, for a safe, warm bed to sleep in (even if there are four of us in a Queen sized bed most nights, five if you count the dog)
Thankful for enough to eat...
Thankful to be able to have just a little bit left to give back to those who might not be feeling as thankful or as blessed as we are...
Thankful for the gift of time...Not everyone is so lucky...
I'm thankful for the litte bit MORE time I had with my mom - even though it will never be enough - there was a reason that when I got that call on June 24th, it wasn't the end & we were given 7 more weeks...Seven tough weeks...but some good mixed in as well...
Even on the bad days, I think we can all stop, take a look around, and find SOMETHING that we are thankful for...
What are you thankful for on this Thanksgiving?
