Since D couldn't decide after looking at a couple
He pulled out the old stand by...
And I was thrilled for 2 reasons -
#1) I'm not a fan of Halloween - but the kids, on their OWN, choosing to wear a 'theme'?
Well, that's totally awesome!
and #2) Well, when I bought that Scooby costume for $40 THREE Halloweens ago (back in 2008)...I was annoyed at the price - not any more I'm not!
Because he wore it last year - and the year before that...and WANTED TO WEAR IT AGAIN this year!
Talk about totally getting our money's worth!
(& for the record - it was TOTALLY snug on him but not so bad he was uncomfortable - though there's no WAY we can resurrect it for a 4th year, unless we pass it down to someone shorter!)
And...aren't they CUUUTE!
The official 'Daphne' Costume came with an orange wig and some mock boots -
So we bought her her very own pink boots, which she has worn repeatedly...and the hair...
This was us on Friday afternoon before we headed out to the annual daycare Halloween Party...I was sure I didn't need rush for pictures because we had a party on Saturday to attend and the real deal would be on on Sunday night... plenty of photo opps!
But after spending the night wearing her hair like THIS (& attending not 1 but 2 parties on Friday...) She was completely over it by Saturday morning and opted for the costume - no hair spray, no wig...
And on Sunday - She dug out last year's snow princess costume and wanted to wear that...

My intent was to go to the closest friends/neighbors and go no where else -but they were having such fun -the most they've ever had...even though they were freezing...
I felt terrible she wasn't dressed warmer - and that he didn't have gloves on...

How adorable are they! I love that they matched, at least for the time being. Super cute.
So cute! I rocked my Tigger costume this year! Many years ago I spent a fair chunk of change on it (like 40 or 50 dollars) knowing I would get a good number of years out of it. Then again I am an adult and that money was spent on me, not a kiddie costume that would be outgrown in a year or two.
Thanks for sharing your halloween! It was great to see!
