This year was no exception, however, I think this might be the last year I can get away with asking them to sit ON the dining room table for said shot ~ They are just growing up so fast!

H wants to paint hers and D wants to carve his...of course...
So...we'll see what pans out - with this gorgeous weather we've been having - I don't dare carve them too early or they'll never make it to Halloween!

What do you do with your pumpkins?
Carve them, paint them? Skip them all together?

carving pumpkins grosses me out. NO IDEA WHY! But, we skip them now. Maybe one year Mallory will figure it out and ask for one, but until then... Yes, even as a kid I thought it was icky. My mom and sister did it while I watched from a distance. I enjoyed the roasted seeds, pumpkin bread and pie though. Cute pics!
Oh, my, look how much they've grown! I love photo traditions like yours...
We don't always carve our pumpkins; we are all better painters than carvers in this family!
