The Bucket List Wrap Up...

Well, it was a crazy summer...crazy is the politically correct term for it...
A summer of ups...and a summer of downs...

Frankly...I'd like a do over...I'd like to forget much of June-July-August 2010. A big majority of those months anyway...

But all was not lost...
Fun was had...

On this day, the 'eve' of the unofficial, official end to summer ~ Labor Day Weekend...

I thought we'd go back to the post that kicked this whole bucket list thing off...

MY (somewhat local) Bucket list...in no particular order, had 22 items on it...

Keeping in mind the major curve balls life threw at us this summer...

...what did we accomplish?

Como Zoo & Como Town - Sadly, no...I'd like to still knock this one off but the schedule doesn't allow it...
Normandale’s Japanese Garden - Again, a big fat no.
Canterbury Park - YES! Twice actually!
Paddleford Boat Cruise - Yep. Been there, done that. Won't do it again.
Hastings Car Show ~ Yes. Yes we did. Twice. Love visiting the car show...


Valley Fair - no.
Cascade Bay - not even once.
Apple Valley Aquatic Park yes. but just once this season.
Crystal Lake Beach (What other fun beaches are around this area?) So very glad we took the time to go one evening after work...2 days later...My mom was admitted to the hospital.
Children’s Museum – Wizard of Oz Exhibit ~ YES! But again, just once! GAH!
Duluth – Gooseberry Falls - NO! (not yet! does fall count?)
Take the kids Tent Camping - Where should we go??? This one really. bums. me. out. NO!
Wisconsin Dells - ::sigh:: nope.
Grandma’s Lake Place – Mahnomen - We were soo close...but nope. Couldn't pull it off.
Anderson’s Lake Place – Detroit Lakes - For one day, which was great...but not near enough.
Chutes & Ladders Play area - Yes...
Minneapolis Farmer’s Market - Yes...Oh how I love it there!
Target Field Twins Game - CHECK! 2 times baby! WOOT!
Midway Stadium Saints game Yes! Once...we did make it out! Thanks to Metro Dental Care!
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum - Nope.
Elko Speedway Racing - Sort of. Does this count?
** Minnesota State Fair ~ not. quite. yet...but we still have a few days...

So...out of 22 things we I wanted to try and get in...We accomplished 12. Maybe get to the unlucky #13 if we pull off the Great Minnesota Get Together this weekend...but seeing as how the 13th was a bad bad day for me in August...I think I'll uncount the Elko Speedway thing and drop the total count down to 11...and then add 1 if we hit the Fair...

So...there you have it...50% of the list.

Pretty unimpressive.
