The 4th of July!

Fourth of July this year was different than in years past...

But not all that different, as it still wasn't the typical lake/bbq/fireworks/crazy/rowdy/exhausting time that I had come to know and love, it wasn't much different than the last few years and while we didn't take in our usual parade - we decided to see what all the fuss was about at the Apple Valley 4th of July Parade.

(You know the one - where people mark their spots 24 hours in advance (but no sooner because that's against the rules...)

I'm not sure how impressed the kids were...

But the Charming Jackson Boys made it all better -

In fact, H said to me the other day, "I wonder if Joey wants to marry me?" all giggly and 14 year old girl like! HA HA!

These two were their usual two peas in a pod selves...

And Baby G. was all chill even though it was 1000 degrees outside!


Thanks so much to the Jackson 5 for letting us crash your parade party.

After the 40 minute walk back to our car in 1000 degree heat & humidity...

We spent the day at home playing with our backyard friends...

And just enjoying being together...

Because together - is the best place to be!
