We LOVE the movie here at our house - a true classic to be sure....
And the shoes - they ain't so bad either!
In fact, she's on her second pair already - as her first pair of Ruby Red Slippers are much too small now -
and just today we got Molly (her American Girl) her own pair of Ruby Red Slippers - a Reward for H and Mols for when H finally accomplishes either A) 7 tries of *new food* or B) 7 nights of staying in her own bed...(7 for each day of the week - though we aren't holding her to consecutive days/nights - just seven successes count...)
both, MAJOR struggles for us right now...we'll see if these slippers have the magic powers I am hoping they do....
When we arrived - H was terrified (I know, you're surprised right?)
The Wizard had a booming voice that filled the room - and it took her awhile to realize that it was child-controlled...by speaking into a wiffle ball type microphone - you could have the Wizard say anything you wanted...
You could also turn your voice into a Munchkin!
It was GREAT fun after everyone realized it was all pretend!
The bike was the biggest hit!
Oh how we love the Children's Museum - Nothing is off limits there - you can run and jump and yell and touch and climb...oh, we love to climb...
And while we paint with water at home all the time - there's something just so much more fun about it when you do it somewhere else!
I don't know how I would ever give up my Fridays with these two - I love our adventures and our extra time we get to spend together...
If you are looking for something to do - I highly recommend you follow the yellow brick road...

** Do I really have to disclose on every blog post I do that I wasn't compensated for it? We have a membership to the Children's Museum that we paid for with our own hard earned money. Said membership makes it totally worth going to the museum as often as we can, because with the price of admission - just two trips here and you have paid for the annual membership. Now that we have gone a half a dozen times - the remaining trips we take are like icing on the cake. I consider them FREE after the first two trips...So, yes, I guess we did attend the exhibit for FREE! I highly recommend getting yourself an annual pass...that way - you won't feel guilty if you don't stay all darn day when you do go! **

I really need to take my kids to that... they would love it! And where do you get Ruby Red slippers for a girl? I would love to get some for Audrey!
