It was a really deadly spring here in Minnesota when you think in terms of traffic fatalities...
Kids...Kids just barely old enough to drive.
15 people in a span of four days.
My friend Trish blogged about it - after resurrecting & airing a news piece she had done....Titled Room to Live...
She also wrote a blog post (from her heart) that you can read here - but mind you, it's not for the weak...
She gets tough in her post...
It seems so senseless, traffic deaths from things like not wearing a seatbelt and/or texting & driving. Bad weather in Minnesota? Yeah, it happens...but inattentive driving?
Not wearing seatbelts? Well, that goes under the category of senseless in my book.
That's why last week when I was contacted about helping to spread the word about a new hands free headset for cell phones that offers text to speak technology, I immediately agreed!
Some of the cool features include:
Easy on: Text messages will automatically be played over your H17txt with MotoSpeak™ every time your headset is activated.
Incoming text message sender ID: Always be in the know about who in your phonebook is trying to text you without having to take your hands off the wheel with sender ID announcements.
Auto-response message: Determine if you want to send an automated text message to callers informing them that you are driving and will call back when available or pick a more personalized message to send.
Translates 150 text acronyms: Acronyms such as lol, btw and l8r are translated when the text message is read aloud, so you will never miss the meaning of a message.
When paired with any Bluetooth-compatible phone, such as DROID by Motorola, H17txt with MotoSpeak ™ also allows for turn-by-turn directions to be heard only by the driver, not everyone else in the car. Plus, voice prompts audibly update you on battery level, mute status, how to connect for the first time and more. With this enhanced headset, you can even listen to streaming media, music, videos and games – all hands-free.
Motorola is coming to the Twin Cities!!
June is National Safe Driving Month, and Motorola’s “Get Smarter”™ cars will be making a stop in Minneapolis to make sure consumers are driving responsibly and staying legal this summer. Follow Motorola on Twitter and Facebook for a chance to win an H17txt with MotoSpeak™ and a free ride in Motorola’s “Get Smarter”™ car on June 18th and 19th.
Check out the FACT SHEET on the H17txt with Motospeak...
** I was not paid for this post. Motorola asked me if I would like to review the H17txt with MotoSpeak™ & help get the word out. I will be reviewing the device in the coming days.
