pretty plain...pretty simple...
So I tried to get a little bit creative - find my green thumb - and I did this...
And in May of 2010...after dividing and planting a few perenniels from my own yard and bumming a few from my awesome neighbor/friend Betsy...this is what it looks like now...
I have since painted the bench red...(yes RED! but not the entire thing-just the wooden parts-the parts that are black stayed black) and am on the hunt for a perfect bird bath for the middle of the right hand side...I'm leaning towards getting one of those cheap plastic white ones and spray painting it red? Silly? or would it look totally awesome with my new red bench?

Yep...totally can't believe I haven't done this before!
I just wish our warm weather months lasted a little bit longer...Tinkering in the yard has become a great source of enjoyment for me!

That area is adorable. I'm not so sure about a red bird bath though. I'd go for something that matches the pathway.
