There are pros...and cons...
Pros - they are cute, some could be really cool and handy to have around when I'm buying up 50# bags of dirt for my gardening projects...and our kids really seem to love them ~
Cons - they are expensive,VERY expensive, the kids don't really need a toy to RIDE ON that doesn't involve pedaling or pushing, etc etc - We want to encourage them to get as much good old fashioned exercise as possible, and where the heck do you store something you can't ride all year round in these here parts?
That doesn't stop me from browsing craigslist from time to time - just to see what's out there - besides that, the kids just looove the neighbor boy's mustang...
Imagine my thrill and delight when I found this gem...on CLEARANCE...for, no joke, $32.00!! at my local Target store.
I kid you not. I got this baby for $32.00!
My only regret? Not buying up more of these things! I could have resold these things brand new on craigslist and made a small profit! Or at the very least, spray painted one blue and had one for each of our kids!
We didn't put it together right away - since the kids can't really take it outside anyway just yet - but I decided that I wanted to at least see how big this thing was - to see if I needed to list it on Craiglist now - if we are too big for it, or later -when we outgrow it...
Daddy had some little helpers...
And in a few short minutes...it was ready for 'blast off'
She even let her brother have a turn - which is nice since he's been coveting a power wheels motorcycle for some time now...pink will have to do - for now!
I wish I would have gotten it on video - the belly laughs he had when driving this thing around our lower level - maneuvering around furniture like a pro!
The hubs and I laughed and laughed...you'd be hard pressed to find something cuter that's for sure!
This one, she's a little more reserved than her little brother is - but she'll be cruising on this too in no time I'm sure...it only goes 3 mph...but it might as well be 300 mph as far as she's concerned - right now anyway!
Yep, I'll go ahead and too my own horn here - my bargain hunting skills are even impressing myself lately!
Bring on the spring!
We're ready to get our motors runnin' -

That is a steal! My kids would go nuts for one of those.
That is so cute! I can't believe you got that for only $32.00! What a steal! I love the clearance spots at Target. I did manage to get my son one of the Handy Manny Work Benches for $20.00 - at Christmas it was going for $69.99. I love finding a great deal!
That is awesome! Boo had one that she got when she was 3 (I didn't buy it) and we found that the most expensive thing on them is the battery! How crazy!
I am so glad your kids love it!!
