Hails helps me clip and bring in some of my out of control glads...
My stargazers have gone bonkers and are sprouting up all over the place! They smell heavenly though I don't think the hubs agrees when I bring them inside...
I was told to plant them in front of a place where you can open a window and the smell would waft in - I was able to do that with a few - but most of them are on the side of the house where we have NO WINDOWS! Blerg...
oh well, one day there will be a patio out there!
Here is one of my many sunflowers sooo close to popping - a few have - but the ones that are over 12 feet tall, YES! TWELVE FEET - have yet to open...I cannot wait!
One of my other newfound loves in the garden are the butterflies - After going to the exhibit at Como Zoo and seeing that they put out citrus fruits for the butterflies to 'eat'? is that what they do? Eat? Anyway, I guess the butterflies love it and so I tried it and guess what!
We have our very own butterfly friends on our deck! HURRAY!
(never mind the nasty flies, apparently I am feeding them a smidgeon too - when I get myself acquainted with photoshop I'll be removing the flies from future pics...HA!)

I must also say - what a difference a camera makes! The first butterfly photo is taken with my Canon Rebel that Rob bought for me last Christmas - the other two bottom pics are with my point and shoot camera - which I also love - but wowsers - what a difference huh?
Ah, the simple things in life - figure out how to garden and snapping pictures in the process - two of my favorite things to do!
