I'm not sure what it is - but the holiday has sort of lost it's luster with me...I typically LOOOVE the 4th of July but the last few years it's sort of lost something...
Not sure what...but I do intend to get that back...
There's always next year right?
This year, like last year - we started off with the parade over in Eagan...
Hails insisted on wearing this tiny dress - the one she wore to D's baptism 2.5 years ago...but whatever ~ at least she had clothes on (heaven forbid she wear the 4th of July dress I bought her!)
And because it wouldn't be the 4th of July without some pesky rain - we brought umbrellas!
Once again, we had the office VIP seats...with no one to share them with! ACK!
D thought it was pretty funny....
to watch Daddy clownin' around....
After the parade was over the skies really opened up....making for a gloomy afternoon ~
Butwhen nighttime fell - H donned the holiday attire and we headed out...
to try and catch some fireworks...
Only it was late...and wet...and we were all tired...
Maybe next year?
