Summer's First STAYcation...

Well, the hubs had to work this past weekend - ARRRGH that drives me crazy - no one with an office job should have to work a weekend, but, had he not been stuck at work, he'd of been gone for the annual Polly's Open Golf Tourney in MY hometown (wives & kids aren't included!!) anyway so we made the best of the weekend and had our first of the summer STAYCATION!

SOOOOOOO ~ I took the kids down the road a couple of miles to our city beach...
We had a GREAT day...

The kids were excited to bring their new sand wagon filled with toys (entire wagons purchased last year for $1.00 each on clearance thankyouverymuch!!)


They quickly got busy playing in the sand...


D got as close as he could to the Mama & Daddy Duck resting on the sand without sending them flailing into the water...




The fish were going CRAZY wanting to nibble a few toes? so we shared a smidgeon of our pop tart snack with them -



They have built in Sand & Water tables right on the beach! AWESOMESAUCE!




They also have a great kid friendly playground that we enjoyed...











YEP - I'd say our first official STAYCATION of the season was a success - now, what should we do for our next local adventure??
