Well, it's Thanksgiving Eve. We sure do have a lot to be thankful for that is for sure. This morning I was one of 20 lucky KS95 listeners who was able to purchase a half price Children's Museum Membership. WHOO HOO!
I'm looking forward to visiting the museum on days when there are not gobs of freeloaders (like myself) there. I have visions of some fun Fridays during the winter spent there - with Daddy's office basically across the street this is going to be GREAT!
I am thankful for two very very healthy - and smart I might add - children. Hailey is just bursting with energy and new words/phrases and such every single day. From the minute she gets up to the minute she goes to bed - (and sometimes in her sleep) the little thing just goes goes goes non-stop. She knows all of her colors - including brown, black and white! She knows most of the alphabet and can even pick the letters out all on her own - Her favorites continue to be M and O - One day we were spelling M-O-M-M-Y and when Rob came home he asked her about it - "Can you spell Mommy?" he asked her? Next thing I knew - she was standing next to me, SMELLING my knee and going - "Pheeee-Ewwwww Mommy!" She was sure he wanted her to SMELL me, not SPELL me! Sooo funny. Anyway - she'll pick the O's out of every sign we pass on the roadway - yelling - "There it is, there's the O!" I just love to listen to her sing songs and dance - and lately - exercise. She is HILARIOUS to watch do push ups!! Derek continues amaze us and grow much too fast as well - he now walks on his knees if there is nothing to hold on to - very comical to watch. He has no fear what-so-ever, rolling down the stairs because he hasn't quite figured out how to turn around to go backwards, yanking on the neighbor's cat's tail, etc etc.
I am continually amazed by how different our children are. Complete opposites yet both so great and so fun in their own ways. Rob and I are truly blessed. We are thankful for a lot of things this holiday season - but mostly our two beautiful, healthy, amazing children.
