Well, yesterday was pumpkin carvin' day at our house. I thought it might be best to start the project with Hailey when Derek was napping since he's in to everything these days. Turns out I should have done it the other way around. Hailey thought it was "icky" and Derek loved sticking his hands in the muck. He woke up when we were about half way done and sat down to join us.
He was soo good and only tried putting pumpkin guts in his mouth one time! Hailey actually used her shirt sleeve pulled over her hand to touch the pumpkin until it was completed - after that she liked it just fine.
All in all it was a success. I think my favorite part was when we put the jack-o-lantern outside on the deck and lit a candle in it after dark. Bosco went NUTS thinking it was something he should be scared of. Well, if there's anything a 100 pound dog should be scared of - but you should have seen him racing around and barking at the back door - hair on end... hilarious. He's such a good gaurd dog!
